Mesalands Iron Pour

When: March
The Mesalands Iron Pour is a week-long event that draws artists from across the nation to form and pour iron sculptures. Open to the public throughout the event. Hosted by Mesalands Community College.

TUCUMARI RAWHIDE DAYS

When: Last Weekend of April
Tucumcari Rawhide Days is a celebration of western heritage and the filming of Rawhide in Quay County. With wild west gunfights, a longhorn parade, chuck wagon cooking and live music, there’s something for everyone!

DOWN AT THE DEPOT
CONCERT SERIES

When: May-August
Down at the Depot is held on the 4th Saturday of each month (June-August) at the historic Railroad Depot and features live music, food vendors, and a makers market. Hosted by Tucumcari MainStreet.

NEW MEXICO MUSIC SHOWCASE

When: June
Regional festival featuring New Mexico musicians.

QUAY COUNTY FAIR

When: August
Who doesn’t love a county Fair? This is a week-long event with livestock shows, a Catch It Heifer contest, 4-H Expo, Home Arts Sweepstakes, carnival, and more! Hosted by Quay County.

fired up & wheels on fire

When: Last Saturday of September
Longest running family-friendly event in Tucumcari with a full day of activities celebrating our community connection to fire. Fire performers, fire-centered art, glass blowing, black smithing, live music, crafts, and food vendors. Hosted by Tucumcari MainStreet.

TUCUMSCARY

When: Halloween
Community trick or treat event. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Mesalands Community College and Tucumcari MainStreet.

VERY MERRY TUCUMCARI

When: Month of December
Fun-filled month-long holiday celebration Including lighting of the depot, Christmas Light Parade, vendors at the depot and more.
